Weather Policy

VERY IMPORTANT: Mother nature is bigger than Wolf's. We try to use our best judgement, thoroughly watching the weather channel, news, and weather apps — but they are not always accurate. You, the Owner/Manager of said property, must cancel on questionable days to ensure you receive the best service.

For this reason, we require two (2) phone numbers be on file to contact the main decision maker.

If we perform services and it rains before or after service, Wolf's is not responsible for any premature wear or damages caused by rain splashing from gutters hitting undried sealer and splashing on concrete, garage doors, siding, fences, etc. However, if there is damage to sealer, we will reseal it for 50% of the cost of the services or touch up areas that may need it.

We recommend that you power wash or hose off any affected areas immediately, and scrub with a soft/wire brush depending on the surface type.

Seasonal Notice — After Oct 1 & Before May 1

No guarantee on materials due to the climate we live in. Our material distributors will not warranty any material put down after October 1st and thus Wolf's cannot warranty the materials either. However, we still guarantee our quality and workmanship!

The application of many materials — including sealer, latex traffic paint, and cold pour crack sealant — is not recommended when temperatures fall below 50°F. Cold temperatures could cause premature wearing, fading, and decrease the longevity of materials.

Scheduling

Thanks to a loyal customer base, our schedule fills up quickly. Due to advanced bookings we recommend that you call far ahead of your desired date. We will try our best to work with your needed schedule.

Barricades, Cones, Stakes & Signs

If you find that any of these items are in your way, simply cut the tape/string after the proper drying time and move/place them by the side entrances.

PLEASE leave items left up front STANDING for 3–5 business days and we will return to pick them up. If you wish for us not to leave them, please let us know. If for any reason we should forget, or you would like them removed, please call the office or text 815-427-9653.

Wooden Stakes & Paper Signs: Please cut flagging tape and leave the signs up for 3–5 days, then they may be discarded.

Advertising Signs: PLEASE leave all advertising signs up front for as long as possible. These help support and promote Wolf's, our employees, and our families. If you wish for us not to leave them, please let us know. Thank you!

Service Description

Wolf's cleans the area to be sealed with wire brushes and large blowers. 9" edging brushes are used around concrete/landscaping bricks, etc. Grass is trimmed off edges to expose all asphalt. We scrape, clean and prime oil spots.

We Keep It Neat — We Seal Your Asphalt, Not Your Concrete, Curbs, Light Poles, Etc.

Oil Spot & Tire Cleaners

We will treat all oil spots with the best available products. Fresh or saturated oil/fuel spots or excessive tire cleaners will not be warranted. Heavy or new oil stains may bleed through even when primed/treated. Severely saturated spots should be cut out and replaced.

For best results, thoroughly apply sawdust, kitty litter, or oil dry to all affected areas 2–3 days prior to your service date.

Hot Crack Sealing

Hot Crack Sealant is a rubberized material heated to 350° then applied by special equipment. HCS has a 6-month guarantee for cracks 3/8" to 1". There is no guarantee on cracks smaller than 3/8" — not enough material can penetrate the crack. Deep cracks may settle overnight due to unknown crack depth — they are sealed.

Hot crack sealant may be soft, very flexible and/or tacky on very hot days — try to avoid HCS areas if and when possible.

Cold Crack Sealant

Has no guarantee because of the climate we live in due to freezing and thawing temperatures.

Cracks, surface cracks, and repairs are like a scar — we seal or repair them back together, but they will still be noticeable. Note: ALL CRACKS MAY NOT BE SEALED; Map/Gator Cracks Not Included.

Repairs & Patching

Infrared & Cut-Out Repairs: Has a 1-year warranty. Throw-in and tamp has no warranty because it is not a permanent fix.

Patching Extensions / Cut-Outs / Pads: Base will have 2"–4" of compacted stone. Surface 2"–3" of compacted hot asphalt mix.

Patching: Cut out, clean out loose debris, add gravel and compact, then add hot asphalt. Finally, compact to level.

Striping

If customer changes or requests a new layout of striping after estimate is given, additional charges may occur.

Drying Times

Please stay off freshly sealed areas for 24–72 hours. This allows all layers of sealer to dry properly. At minimum, 12 sunny hours must be allowed.

If these times are not adhered to, the project will not be warranted. Driving on sealer too soon will cause it to track and/or wear prematurely.

Customer Responsibilities

Customer does not need to be present at time of service. All vehicles, boats, RVs, trailers, dumpsters, etc. must be removed from the asphalt and out of any garages by 7AM the day of scheduled service, if you intend to use them within 48 hours after sealing.

Important: You must clean heavy mud, oil/fuel spots, lawn fertilizer, chalk, car soap, and especially tire cleaner from your drive at least 2 days prior to sealing. Car cleaning products may stain and damage the sealant if not washed off after use.
